An amazing dream surrounds me
I am walking along releasing birds
everything I touch is within me
and I have lost all limitations

made of: silver, 24k, copper, vitreous enamel, iron oxide transfer, druzy quartz from Brazil (cut from the inside of a chrystalline geode)
measurements: These earrings measure an inch and a half long and 5/8ths of an inch wide. The druzy stone is about a half of an inch wide and is 3/8ths of an inch tall and the enamel panel is one inch long and 5/8ths of an inch wide.
process: The enameling process for making these earrings is labor-intensive. It involves laying layers of finely-ground glass onto the copper forms and firing them multiple times at very high temperatures in a kiln. Lots of protective gear involved at every step. Then I painstakingly gather, cut and arrange tiny fragments of text and imagery from many different eras in history and fuse them into the enamel to tell the stories we may have forgotten.
