a fun Friday night
Friday night is pizza and a movie night at my house. I mix up the dough for the pizza crust and make the sauce with herbs from right outside of my door. My husband and I are creatures of habit and enjoy mushrooms, olives and artichoke hearts (if we can find them at the CostULess on St Thomas--Caribbean living is tough!) We rent a movie from Kaleidoscope, the movie rental shop in town and settle in for the night. But when the local gallery has an art opening I always stop in there early to see what is happening before I make the pizza.
Denise Wright is one of the featured artists-- a wonderful artist and a beautiful soul.
Paula is one of my oldest friends on St John and has worked at this gallery for 15 years. I will miss her so much as she has decided to move on to other opportunities and is no longer working there. All of the artists will miss her--she exudes love for art through every pore. You can see it in the way she approaches my display, with a smile and hands that are careful and delighted.
